About

KwaZulu Heritage Festival

The Kwazulu Heritage Festival is more than an event – it is a platform built to celebrate African excellence, preserve cultural identity, and create lasting economic opportunity for KwaZulu-Natal.

It brings together traditional leadership, government, business and communities to drive tourism, investment and heritage preservation, with the ambition of becoming a permanent institution rather than a once-off occasion.

The festival is developed and presented by Kwazulu Royal Holdings, working alongside government, traditional leadership and tourism stakeholders to build an institution that will run for years to come.

Three pillars, one festival

Symposium

Intellectual dialogue on heritage, leadership and Africa’s future, with traditional leaders, academics and policymakers.

Exhibition

A marketplace of municipalities, tourism, crafts, food and innovation showcasing investment and opportunity.

Carnival

A public celebration of music, dance, traditional regiments, parades and food for the whole family.

Celebrate heritage. Create opportunities. Build connections.
